Biography
Kim is the founder and President of Access by Design Inc., an accessibility consulting firm providing plan review, inspection, and consulting services for all project types in Texas and across the nation. She holds a degree in Interior Design from the University of Texas at Austin and has more than 20 years of experience in commercial interiors. Kim has been a Registered Accessibility Specialist in the state of Texas since 1997, and founded Access by Design in 2001. She is a charter member of APA (formerly TRASA), has served on the Board and was President in 2012. Kim is a member of the International Code Council.
In addition to providing state-required plan reviews and inspections to ensure compliance with the Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS), Kim and the other experts at Access by Design have an extensive knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act, ADA Standards, Fair Housing Act, Section 504, ICC/ANSI A117.1, Florida Accessibility Code, California Title 24 and other local, state and federal accessibility requirements.
Access by Design is a Texas Corporation with offices in Dallas, Texas. We also hold a Nevada Business License, and we are HUB and WBE certified.
