Continuing Education Members/guests meet the CE/LU requirements of numerous organizations by attending APA Training. APA is a registered provider with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR, #PVD312), Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR, #1521), American Institute of Architects (AIA/CES, #G583) and a preferred provider for the International Code Council (ICC, #1321). APA provides pre-verified ACTCP credits for the ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program (ACTCP). We award an Accessibility Standards Completion Certificate, as well as APA-ADA Specialist, APA-ADA Assembly Specialist and APA-ADA Transient Lodging Specialist Designations, when all criteria are met.

This course will examine accessible playgrounds including types of ground level and elevated play components, surfacing materials, accessible routes, and inspection of the site and play equipment. 10:15 Public Right of Way Guidelines- Presented by Melissa Anderson, Principal, Melissa A Anderson, LLC (formerly US Access Board) This course will cover the current status of the proposed Public Right of Way Accessibility Guidelines, the differences between accessible and pedestrian routes, requirements for on-street parking and transit stops. 12:45  Common Errors and Omissions – Best of the Worst Problems We Have Seen- Presented by: Jeromy Murphy. This session will focus on the common errors in construction of accessible features. Participants will review the inspection process, how to report violations and how to communicate necessary corrections to the owner. AIA/CES APA 165/165W, ICC #5245 0.2 CEU. Self reporting to TDLR
