APA Rocky Mountain Chapter Virtual Training - An Introduction to Universal Design

Course description: The building code lags behind worldwide best practices for meeting the needs of our neurodiverse and physically disabled community members. This presentation will introduce these diverse communities and specific strategies to accommodate the four most common areas of complaint. Practical and cost-conscious methods will be discussed, as well as the importance of engaging with those underserved communities to create recommendations for design teams.
